find out your department's policy on copying large amounts of course material
- University policy on the use of copyrighted material that is sold / given to students or posted on the web
- Course website development assistance in your department / college
- Library electronic sites, department checkout or reserve book rooms
- Text adoption deadlines at the bookstore
- Policies on creating CDs of your lecture notes
- Campus methods for sale and distribution of course readers
- Policies regarding assembling journal or media articles (see copyright issues above)
- Custom texts using desktop publishing
- Problem sets or material for group work
- Written assignments and exams for large courses, the time you will spend on this activity
and whether advanced students are available as graders
- Staff support for laboratory preparation and cleanup (including the help of Teaching Assistants)
- Budget for this course
- Lab materials / equipment available
- Availability of equipment for video / digital projection, internet connection, film viewing,
overhead projection, student response systems, etc.
