Course Information
This section should include:
- course title
- year and semester
- course number and section
- number of credits or units
- class times
- class locations
- prerequisites
- placement exam information
Refer to the latest school bulletin and schedule to make sure that
all your information is current and correct. Do not make any changes
to official course information as it will confuse students, confuse
you, and is unprofessional. Classes may meet in two different locations
for lecture or lab, so specify the dates and times your class meets.
Note any prerequisites: this will alert students who have registered
without this knowledge. If your course is full with qualified students
waiting to add the class, you may drop unqualified students. Discuss
this process with your department chair or office manager before your
first class.

MWF 9:10 - 10 am, Sci 101
Course
Prerequisites:
550
or above on ELM or approved exemption, or C in Math 70 and satisfactory
score on chemistry placement exam, or a CR in Chem 100 in F99
or S00.
Chemistry
Placement Exam:
The
placement exam is administered during the laboratory on Wednesday,
January 31st and February 1st. ALL students must attend a lab
section on one of those two days and take the placement exam.
There are NO EXCEPTIONS. Students who received a grade of CR in
Chem 100 in Fall 00 and Spring 00 must take the exam to hold their
place in class, but their score on the exam will not be used to
determine placement. There are no course substitutes for Chem
100 at any other university or community college. Students enrolled
in Chem 111 in previous semesters must take the placement exam
again. Results will be posted in the bulletin board next to Sci
102. While waiting for results of the placement exam, attend lab
because missed lab work can not be made up. |
