Objectives for classroom teaching

Upon completion of this module, you will be able to:

  • reflect on your personal teaching philosophy
  • associate your teaching philosophy with a school of thought
  • write a teaching philosophy for your academic resume, incorporating philosophical tenets and vernacular
  • articulate your teaching philosophy and its effects on the teaching and learning process (including class structure, content delivery, assignment design, and assessment procedures)

Objectives for lab teaching

Upon completion of this module, you will be able to:

  • write a teaching philosophy regarding lab instruction for your academic resume, incorporating philosophical tenets and vernacular
  • articulate your lab instructional philosophy and its impact on the teaching and learning process (including lab structure, content delivery, assignment design, and assessment procedures)
